The pool setup at Animal Kingdom Lodge includes Pool, Hot Tub, and Water Slide. Beyond the pool area, you also have Playground, Kid's Club, Arcade, Running Trail, Tennis Courts, and Campfire Program. For workouts or downtime, there is Fitness Center and Spa.

Yes. Because Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort, guests can use Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select nights, usually about two extra hours after regular closing. That is in addition to the standard 30-minute Early Entry benefit all Disney resort guests receive.

Animal Kingdom Lodge can still work well for families, but it is a bus-only resort. Disney buses handle strollers, though park open and park close tend to take more patience with little kids. Kid-friendly amenities include Pool, Playground, Arcade, and Water Slide. There are 3 on-site table-service options, which helps on nights when you do not want to leave the resort for dinner.

The main trade-offs at Animal Kingdom Lodge are these: Bus-only transportation to all parks, no monorail or boat options. Feeling of isolation from other parks besides Animal Kingdom. Hallways are extremely long, far walks from room to lobby. Animals are not always visible from savanna view rooms. Room construction noise may be ongoing during renovation periods.
