Software Engineer & Disney World Trip Planner
Hi, I'm Alex. I've been a software engineer for over 15 years, and for most of that time I've been building web applications and solving the kinds of problems that keep me up at night in a good way. But when I'm not writing code, you'll probably find me at Walt Disney World with my wife and our two daughters.
Our family loves Disney. We go as often as we can, and every trip starts the same way: weeks of spreadsheets, browser tabs, and group texts trying to figure out which parks to visit on which days, where to eat, what rides to prioritize, and how to fit it all into a schedule that actually works for two young kids. I always thought there had to be a better way to plan a Disney trip without losing your mind in the process.
So I built Magic Navigator. It started as a side project to scratch my own itch, but it quickly grew into something I think other families can use too. The idea is simple: take all the moving pieces of a Disney World trip and put them into one visual planner that makes the whole thing feel manageable instead of overwhelming.
What Magic Navigator does
Magic Navigator is a free trip planning tool designed specifically for Walt Disney World. It lets you build a day-by-day itinerary with a visual timeline, drag-and-drop scheduling, and built-in data on every ride, restaurant, and show across all four parks and the resort hotels.
The Get Me Started wizard walks you through a few quick questions about your travel party, hotel, park priorities, and pace preferences, then generates a starter plan you can immediately customize. No more blank-page anxiety.
You can also browse detailed guides on every Disney World hotel , compare resorts side by side, and use the map view to see where attractions are relative to each other. Everything is built to help you make faster, more confident decisions about your trip.
This is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company. It's built by a fan, for fans.
